In California there are four systems of high education that students can choose from to continue their education after high school. This page will provide information for each system of higher education in California as well as information for Out-of-State schools and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The CSU System

The CSU system consists of 23 campuses across the state of California. Students can earn Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees in different majors and fields.

  • Prepare students to enter job market directly with Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of S degree
  • Pre-Professional training

CSU Cost of Attendance:

  • Tuition plus University Fees:  $6,785 $7,962
  • Books: $1,700-$1,969 per year
  • Meals and Housing (on campus): $12,390-$15,150
  • Personal expenses: varies

Freshmen Admission Requirements for Fall 2021:

To be eligible to apply to a CSU student must have the following minimum requirements:
  • Be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Successfully complete the A-G requirements with a grade of C or better
  • High School GPA (CSU GPA) of 2.50 or greater (for Fall 2021 admissions)
  • SAT & ACT test scores are NOT required for Fall 2021 Admission
 
Impacted Schools and Programs:
What is an impacted major or program?
The CSU designates majors or programs as impacted when more applications are received in the initial filing period from CSU-eligible applicants in that particular major or program than can be accommodated by the campus. The following majors are impacted at all or most CSUs: Nursing (All CSUs), Business and Psychology

EOP (Educational Opportunity Program)
Academic support and retention services for historically low income and educationally underserved student.s. Provides admission, academic, and financial assistance to accommodate the needs of the individual student
  • Must apply to a Cal State and then fill out EOP Application!
  • DEADLINE to SUBMIT APPLICATION: November 30th
