Congratulations to Narbonne’s Scholarship Recipients!

Preston Onuselogu, 10th grade
STEAM Magnet Student
Winner of the Warren Christopher Scholarship - $20,000
Congratulations to Preston Onuselogu for being one of four students in Local District South to win the Warren Christopher Scholarship. Preston was selected as Narbonne's nominee for the prestigious Warren Christopher Scholarship, which is only open to one sophomore student at every High School in LAUSD. He will receive $20,000 over the course of four years while he is attending college and completing his undergraduate degree.

The scholarships below were only open to Narbonne seniors. These scholarships were presented to students at the Senior Awards Night.

International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Scholarship - $500 each:

Engineers’ Council Scholarship - $500 each:

Estrella Lee Scholarship - $1,000 each:

LA Harbor College Fall 2022 Dual Enrollment:

LA Harbor College is offering Communication 101 (Public Speaking) and Computer Information Systems (CIS - Computer Science) as Dual Enrollment courses to Narbonne students for the Fall 2022 semester. See attached flyer for a description of the courses and flyer for the Dual Enrollment Info Sessions.

Communication 101 - Monday & Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. to 6:55pm on Zoom
CIS 101 - Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 7:35 p.m. (Lecture & Lab) on Zoom

Below is information about the two courses:
Dual Enrollment classes are open to all students (9th to 11th grade)
Both classes are after school and are conducted remotely with required virtual meetings on Zoom
Both college classes are CSU & UC transferable and will give you college credit if passed with a C or better.
Taking a college class will make you a competitive applicant for college.
If students are interested in taking one or both Dual Enrollment Classes, please have them complete the Dual Enrollment Interest Form:

Students can visit the College Center in Room A3 if they have questions about the Dual Enrollment courses. If parents have questions, they can email Ms. Campos, College Counselor, at [email protected]


Thanks to the support of the Harbor City Neighborhood Council, 99Cent Store, the LAPD, and some outstanding volunteers, Narbonne will be hosting our 3rd annual School Supply Giveaway!

Families from all our local schools are welcome and will receive one backpack per student present.

The event will run from 9am-12pm while supplies last. Families may enter the Narbonne High School campus from 242nd St. just off Western Ave

New Student Orientation

Orientation for new Narbonne students will be Saturday, August 6th from 10am - 12pm. There will be no registration days for returning students.
