Established in 1925, Nathaniel A. Narbonne High School was originally situated in the city of Lomita at what is now Fleming Middle School. The school was named for Nathaniel Andrew Narbonne, a sheep rancher who owned most of the land in the area.
Narbonne High School is very proud of the 43 point jump in API and credits its success to its conscientious students, faculty, and staff. The campus is home to over 3,000 ethnically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse students. The campus has five small learning communities and is home to Narbonne High School Math/Science Magnet. One of six traditional high schools in LAUSD Local District 8, Narbonne High School is located on a 37.5-acre campus in Harbor City.
Narbonne High School is the Home of the Gauchos.
Springfest will be held on May 24, 2013 on the softball field from 1:15-3:07 pm. Students who are eligible to participate should pick up their wristbands in their 5th period class. The bell schedule for the day is attached.
